A Momma's Heart - The Namesake of Heart Swell Studios

Hands down, photographing babies and kids is pretty special. The faces they make, the sound of a baby coos… and what is better than uncontrollable giggles?  It is expected, unexpected and overwhelming in the very best way.

When I first became a mom, the overwhelming feeling of joy bursting out of my heart and leaking out of my eyes was almost indescribable. My love bucket overflowed with emotion, pride, and mom joy. Holding my babies, seeing the world through their eyes and just taking it all in, literally overcame me and its magic was not lost on me despite the everyday challenges of actual “momming”.

So, when I decided to name my photography business, I tapped into that emotion of overflowing joy that comes from your heart… a "'heart swell". And my purpose on this planet as far as I can tell, is to capture those heart swell moments to help my clients remember and look back on them any time they like.

So, if you see me grinning ear to ear, looking like a girl in love, know that I am.  As I literally get to bask in the glow of my client’s “Heart Swells” and I take great joy and gratitude in doing so.
